A cold late arriver

Demonstrating commitment and madness in equal degree, he made the 10-mile round trip on skis. Here he can be seen sweeping (ahem) past the famous Corstorphine Doocot. Nobody else has followed his example. I wonder why?

With his hands behind his back, looks to me as if he has been taken prisoner and is doing his daily walk outside jail !
