Arum in CCR Magazine - Collection Diallers: Dead or Alive?
24-Aug-10Angie Hall writes in CCR Magazine, August 2010:
TODAY’S diallers are flexible, with variability on ‘suitable’ contact times, and are synchronised with speech recognition, self serve and the multitude of different contact methods now available.
However, recent dialler legislation regarding the ‘false positive’ detect rate is now causing businesses to disable answer machine detection, which is then driving non-productive activity onto the collections floor.

New engagement for Arum
03-Aug-10Arum has been engaged to work on an exciting new project to extract data and replicate system processes from one financial services organisation to another.
Merging of organisations has become a common occurrence over the last few years - RBS/Nat West, BoS/Halifax, HBOS/Lloyds, RBS/Ulster Bank et al. Each one of these will have presented a whole series of challenges, such as ensuring that processes are adhered to when different systems, operations and culture are involved, legal differences in geographies and so on.
Extracting one organisation from another and trying to maintain a smooth transition has its own challenges, albeit in a similar vein to a typical migration. Within any project reducing risk and defining scope is a wise move and Arum will use all its experience and best practice knowledge in this area to ensure a successful outcome for this organisation.

Arum leads the way in Credit Today magazine
20-Jul-10Arum’s MD Aleks Tomczyk appears as the lead interviewee in July’s issue of Credit Today magazine.
In the article by Harvey Jones on page 50 entitled ‘Ready to Connect’ Aleks talks about how new communication channels and analytics can radically improve collections performance saying “The few companies that invested ahead of the recessionary curve have outperformed, but others are trailing.” He adds, “Data quality is improving all the time. You can improve it further by sending it for external data augmentation to carry out analytics and development scoring. Companies should make much more use of the information they already have.”
Aleks has been asked to chair Credit Today’s Data & Technology Conference on 12 October in London. For more information on this event go to http://www.credittoday.co.uk/dataandtech.cfm.
