Arum is delighted that CEO Aleks Tomczyk will be presenting at the Junior Chambers International (JCI) National Conference in Edinburgh on the 16th April 2016. Aleks has been invited to speak on the title ‘Innovation from a practitioner’s perspective’ leaning on his experiences including running the UK’s first corporate venturing scheme, during the dotcom boom and in successfully growing Arum.
JCI is a non-profit organisation for people aged 18-40 fully managed by members, with a mission to “provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change”. JCI currently has over two hundred thousand members in 125 countries, and an esteemed alumni including former United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan, US Presidents, George Bush and Bill Clinton.
The JCI National Conference, which runs 15th-17th April, marks the ‘7 decades of Leadership’ and is spread over three days. Attendees will enjoy motivational presentations from an array of speakers from both the business and third sector and gain insight on how to be a great leader. Attendees will also be invited to participate in a number of focussed learning sessions, debates and public speaking. Aleks will be joined by a number of speakers including John Loughton, Founder and CEO at Dare2Lead and Cally Russell, Founder & CEO of Mallzee.
