With 20 years’ consultancy experience during which he successfully delivered major collections and recovery consultancy and change, Aleks is Arum’s Chief Executive. Aleks has been responsible for the development of Arum’s entire collections and recovery business and technical consultancy. As Principal Consultant he continues to provide business and project ‘HealthCHECKs’, best practice and project turnaround consultancy, training and mentoring. His sector experience includes financial services, utilities and government.
Director of Professional Services
Andy has completed successful collection assignments in a large number of major organisations across Europe. Formerly with FICO/London Bridge he provides best practice consultancy and training to major organisations and is responsible for the development of Arum’s much respected Systems consultancy team. Andy is also the creator of our highly effective Debt Manager Systems HealthCHECK.
Director of Software & Products
Nick is a seasoned expert in developing software solutions. Throughout his career, his focus has been on technical innovation in web technologies to enhance C2B and B2B functionality and user experience. His key specialisms are in user-centred software design, delivery of major enterprise applications, rich internet applications and agile development methodologies.
Director of Business Development and Marketing
Jonathan heads up Arum’s Account Management, Business Development and Marketing functions across all of Arum’s business streams – Systems Consulting; Strategy, Operations & Training; Data & Analytics; Software & Products. A key focus and skillset of Jonathan’s is partnering with clients and prospective clients to understand their objectives, strategy and pressure points, to identify collaboration areas where Arum can provide substantial business benefits for clients. Through Arum and prior roles, Jonathan has had a successful career in business development across a number of sectors, industries and geographies.
Financial Controller and Head of Corporate Services
Kaska’s role encompasses the accounting, monitoring and implementation of financial controls in Arum. Before joining Arum, Kaska worked in various accounting roles in Poland, Denmark and the UK. She is currently responsible for the preparation of management accounts, forecasts and budgets as well as overall control of Arum finances.
Project Delivery Director
Chris has over 30 years’ experience in the IT sector of which 10 years has been with Collections and Recoveries software. During that time Chris has been the leader of FICO’s EMEA Debt Manager consultancy team. Chris was Programme Manager for a multi-country Debt Manager rollout for a major UK bank. He also ran Customer and Technical Support for Debt Manager and other products after joining what was then London Bridge Software as a Debt Manager consultant. As Arum’s Project Delivery Manager he draws on a wealth of experience to benefit of Arum’s customers.
Most recently Chris was Engagement Manager at SAS software responsible for Professional Service engagements to two major UK banks. With SAS he also projected managed SAS deliveries in the financial services, mobile telecomm, utilities and retail sectors. With FICO he also led the consultancy teams for Customer Management (TRIAD) and Card Fraud (Falcon).
Sandy has a strong track record of achievement in executive positions in power, water and financial services sector for over 20 years including successfully managing large multi-site operations and implementing complex change/integration programmes.
In the ‘noughties’ as Head of Credit Management for Scottish Power, Sandy led the function through a step improvement in capability leading to it being widely acknowledged as the best in the power industry. Whilst at Standard Life, Sandy’s executive roles included Customer Services Director, Client Relationship Management Director and Business Separation Director for the disposal of Standard Life Bank to Barclays.
Most recently in the water industry at Business Stream Sandy’s roles have been Interim Head of Credit Management, leading the Business Process Workstream within the Business Transformation Programme and Interim Director of Customer Operations. Sandy is also Chairman of Citizen’s Advice Edinburgh.
Clive has over 15 years’ experience in collections and recoveries with his previous two roles being Director positions within Collections and Recoveries, for Barclays and Lloyds Banking Group.
Within both organisations Clive was responsible for driving significant transformation projects across the complex (multiple products, outsourcing / offshoring) collections and recoveries infrastructure of these major retail banks, while at the same time managing the “business as usual” activities and delivering challenging cost and impairment goals.
Clive has a proven track record of providing collections excellence coupled with clarity of vision, strategy and delivery. He is currently working with Arum to help define the future collections operating model for another major UK retail bank.
Nick has over 30 years’ experience in collections and recoveries; working with financial service organisations globally to improve collections and recoveries strategy and operational execution, with deep experience in all lending products, leading to impairment improvements whilst maintaining a first class customer experience.
Nick has previously worked as ‘Head of Collections’ for CitiGroup and ‘Director of Global Collections & Recoveries’ for FICO, helping Nick to provide a vast wealth of knowledge to our clients. With success stories from all around the globe, Nick is proficient at understanding client’s short, medium and long-term needs and ensuring the best fit solution is implemented.
Chris has over 15 years’ experience in the Credit, Collections and Recoveries industry. With sector experience in banking, credit card and telecommunications; Chris has direct experience leading large and small teams alike, from Collections Operations teams to Risk Analytical teams. He has driven significant performance improvements across multiple geographies, including the UK and Canada.
His most recent roles include Director: Head of UK collections-Barclaycard, VP: Billing Credit and Collections-Bell Canada and VP: Risk Operations-American Express. A qualified accountant and trained as a Lean Six Sigma black belt Chris is data orientated, yet people minded. He has a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions and driving financial performance improvements.
Walter has over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of the credit lifecycle. His end-to-end experience covers all elements of branch banking to Credit Risk policy through to Collections & Recoveries Change, Strategy, Systems and Analytics. His multi-disciplinary skill set includes subject matter expertise in Optimising Collections & Recoveries strategies, data analytics, Ofcom regulation, SAS, 3rd party management, debt sale and dialler technology. He has built up a solid reputation as a problem solver, with a proven track record of effective change and operational outcomes; handling multi-million bad debt portfolios resulting in incremental provision savings and benefits.
Michael is a highly experienced systems analyst. Able to work across different project methodologies, Michael is highly proficient in providing collections and recoveries solutions and improvements, with extensive capability of working on Debt Manager and TRIAD projects. His extensive experience includes account portfolio migrations, new implementations, support and enhancement for current systems, major conversion exercises from legacy systems, data interrogation tools and relational data models, writing technical specifications, and development life cycle methodology.
Cormac is a seasoned professional in the full lifecycle of successful product implementation of projects within banking, financial services, telecommunications, energy provision and information technology industries. He has a wealth of experience in Collections and Credit methodologies, processes and software, combined with an impressive track record analysing existing business processes and ensuring fit for purpose – both from an IT and business perspective. Practised at optimising Collections strategies across a variety of Collections systems, Cormac is also highly experienced in a variety of analytical and consultation roles worldwide, most recently in Holland, Ukraine, Moscow, Poland, Albania, London, Edinburgh and Germany.
Stuart is a highly experienced practitioner in the collections and recoveries industry, with over 20 years’ experience spanning banking and utilities. He has worked on a variety of projects throughout Europe involving Debt Segmentation, Dialler Integration, and Systems Selection. With specialist experience in arrears management and major customer-centric projects, he has also conducted Collections Systems HealthCHECKs to ensure that client operations are ‘fit for purpose’ and meet regulatory compliance and conduct standards.
Matthew has extensive experience in software development as well as multiple areas of Collections and Recoveries: Systems Selection, Implementation, Migration, Arum HealthCHECKs, Change Management Programmes, and Business As Usual operations. He has extensive knowledge of a range of Collections Systems including FICO’s Debt Manager and CMC’s FlexCollect. He has worked with clients on vendor selection processes; Collections Visions; Business Analysis; test strategies and scripts; regulatory compliance; and Customer Centric, Multi-Product and Multi-Brand system implementations.
Stuart has experience in all areas of Collections and Recoveries, having worked as both an analyst and developer in Debt Manager projects. He has over 20 years’ Financial Services (Retail Banking) experience, over 10 years’ analysis and process implementation experience, and eight years’ Collections and Recovery experience. Stuart’s range of expertise includes policy development and process re-engineering. He has worked with large financial institutions with particular focus on analysing and streamlining processes.
Scott has 18 years’ experience in Credit & Collections. He is a former Head of Collections with a wealth of experience and problem solving in managing and developing successful teams across a wide range of collections products, including secured, unsecured , hire purchase and commercial debt. He has a strong track record of successfully delivering short, medium and long-term business and cultural change on key programmes to improve collections and increase bottom line profit. He is a strong deliverer and problem solver with an eye for detail combined with a passion for continuous business improvement and detailed knowledge of collections processes, training and Treating Customers Fairly. Scott is also a Member of the Institute of Credit Management.
Gary has over 10 years’ experience in collections and recoveries across utilities, banking and automotive finance industry. Gary’s career began at Accenture where he worked within a front line collections and recoveries team before progressing into a Business Systems Analyst role. During this time, Gary worked on a variety of projects and was responsible for the business design and delivery of a new collections and recoveries system. Gary also has experience in the end to end project life cycle as well as the ability to deliver best practice and market leading IT solutions. Prior to Arum, Gary helped lead the Decision Analytics division and the delivery of Tallyman v3 solutions within Experian.
With over ten years Collections & Recoveries experience working throughout Financial Services, Telecommunications and Utilities; Owen is well versed in a number of Collections Systems including but not limited to various versions of Tallyman and Debt Manager. He has held numerous roles in the industry progressing through Collections Systems and Strategy Analysis to Tallyman Development Manager for one of the UK’s largest utilities.
Owen holds experience of successfully delivering Collections strategies through various levels of segmentation, along with adopting new ways of working to ensure optimisation across all areas within Collections & Recoveries.
With a background working with key financial services organisations, Michael has experience as both a Customer Repayment Advisor and Business Analyst. His hands-on customer facing experience, across all collection cycles, enables him to view the bigger picture and bring a customer-centric focus to his roles. He has specialist skills in risk and change management, Debt Manager router changes, adhering to TCF guidelines and compliance frameworks, and system testing.
Having previously worked for one of the UK’s leading utilities, Mark has a proven track record of successfully delivering new debt collection strategies that significantly contribute to the reduction of Aged and Bad Debt; provide a more pro-active approach to managing exposure; and help to improve debt collection rates. He has detailed knowledge of and experience in debt recovery applications, including FICO Debt Manager, SAP Industry Solution for Utilities and SAP Customer Relationship; providing expert analysis of business and functional requirements and the provision of technical solutions to business problems.
Michael has worked in Collections & Recoveries for seven years formerly with RBS, progressing from a telephony collector to a Debt Manager developer, equipping him with an integrated skillset marrying together both the Customer and Collector’s perspective. He has a proven track record of business improvement and change implementation; Debt Manager system implementations (including DM vs9), support and enhancement – build, test and post implementation; Collections performance MI; Qlikview and BI dashboards; business and functional requirements specification.
With over 30 years experience in the banking industry, Eileen has a comprehensive experience across both Collections & Recovers strategy and systems. Recently Eileen worked within the loans and credit card divisions at Barclays Group across a number a number of customer facing roles within the Collections and Recovery environment before moving on to become a specialist in Debt Manager development. Eileen has also successfully delivered across all stages of Project Life Cycle and Systems Development from feasibility, design, build and test through to implementation, post live proving and Live System Support.
Jake graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a First Class degree in Mathematics and has highly developed logical and analytical skills. Since joining the Arum team, Jake has supported a major UK collections system implementation project. Jake’s expertise, approachability and experience of software analytics and models has made him a valued member of the team. Jake has strong technical skills including Debt Manager V9, SQL and databases.
Ross gained a degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Stirling and worked as a Capacity Planner for Sky before joining Arum. While working with Sky and completing his degree at University, Ross used both analytical and statistical software to gain insights in large datasets.
Graeme joined Arum from Tesco Bank where he worked in the early stage collections team. In addition to his collections experience, Graeme has strong Java and other technical skills gained through a degree in Computer and Electronic Systems. Graeme also worked for several years at Virgin Money in a customer facing role.
Newsha obtained a Bachelor of Information Systems from the University of Lancaster and spent several years continuing her studies throughout Malaysia before joining Arum as an Analyst. She also has experience in the Education and Information Technology sectors and has very good technical skills.
Chris has a degree in Multimedia majoring in web design and interactive media at Nottingham Trent University; this was achieved while working in the high value collections team for the RBS group firstly as a telephony collector then as a project manager. Upon completing the degree, he moved onto an assistant relationship manager role at Natwest before joining Arum.
Andy Rayne has over 10 years of experience in the IT industry and has been involved in the RIA space since 2003. One of the original members of iteration: two, the company that invented the Cairngorm platform for Flex, Andy went on to work for several years as a Technical Architect for Adobe leading and working on some of the largest RIA projects in Europe and the US.
Ian is a talented developer with knowledge of a vast range of technical languages, databases and operating systems. A proven project manager, he has had exposure to a vast range of projects, utilising his experience with OO technologies as well as front end experience. He enjoys working closely with clients to drive both technical and business benefits. Throughout his career, his focus has been on technical innovation in web technologies to enhance online B2B functionality and user experience. He is a highly skilled and motivated technician with the ability to present results in a clear and identifiable manner.
Tom obtained a First Class Degree in Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University before joining Arum as a Junior Developer. He also has experience in the retail market and enjoys spending time working on artistic projects including 3D Modelling.

Strategic Accounts & Partner Manager
Luke has extensive expertise in and knowledge of the banking, DCA (debt collection agencies) and technology markets. Through his account management background, formerly with Arrow Global, Luke has particularly strong capability in fully understanding a client’s requirements and ensuring the right fit solutions for both the client and its customers and stakeholders. A multi-skilled relationship and performance manager with a proven track record of achieving results in account handling and strategy, Luke works across both of Arum’s Collections & Recoveries and Software & Products client bases.
Key Account Manager
Duncan has a wealth of experience in business development having held a number of senior positions at Experian, QAS and Inoapps prior to working with Arum. Specialising in account management and channel sales, Duncan has built a career in identifying and developing best fit solutions for clients across a number of sectors. His influence and pro-active consultative approach has led to a proven track record of helping customers and partners drive real business value.
Key Account Manager
Ron has been involved in the Collections & Recoveries sector since 1988 and is a well-known figure on the conference speaking circuit. During his career Ron was Europe & Africa Sales Director during the most successful years of London Bridge Software and was also a member of the original design team for Tallyman in the early nineties.
As well as a deep understanding of the complexities and requirements of the Collections & Recoveries software world, Ron has also undertaken work with a broad range of organisations, from retail banks through to major service providers and including local and central government, assisting them with their key objectives, be that compliance, data utilisation, operations and strategy.
Ron has joined Arum to be instrumental in the continued growth and diversification of our business
Marketing and Media Relations Executive
Suzy is responsible for devising, implementing and managing the marketing and media relations strategy for Arum across its four business streams: Systems Consulting; Strategy, Operations and Training; Software and Products.
Before becoming part of Arum’s team, Suzy graduated from University with a degree in Marketing and has over 3 years’ experience in retail marketing, advertising and data analytics. Suzy is a keen runner and has achieved medals from both the Paris and Edinburgh Marathons.
